And we are...
Paul Maximilian Anghel (Romania)
Hi! I’m Max, a 20-year-old Political Science student from Bucharest, Romania and proud member of Asociatia "Verzii" (Romanian Young Greens). My first encounter with the young greens was in 2005, when I took part in a study session on Islam and Europe. I have been volunteering for several youth organizations, on a wide range of issues, such as discrimination, refugees, human rights, social inclusion or peace building. In March 2007 I took part in the FYEG youth exchange on climate change, which provided me with an insight into the topic... and with a strong motivation to further get involved in this issue. Therefore, as part of my climate change commitments, I have decided to postpone getting my driving license as much as possible …

Esther de Wit (Netherlands)
From the Netherlands, after organizing several campaign for DWARS I joined FYEG’s campaign team. So now I’m the team coordinator of FYEG’s climate campaign. I studied Environmental science so climate change is really my topic. I’m delighted to see the growing awareness in society and hope we can encourage this even more with our campaign. I think our website offers you some usefull tools and ideas for your organisation to design your own climate action and campaign. If you have any questions that you cannot post to any of the other team members please, feel free to send them to me.
Marc Giménez (Spain)
From Barcelona, 24, I am a member of the Catalan Young Greens, Joves d’Esquerra
Verda, where besides coordinating local groups and being member of the National
Council for a long time I have been also organizing some campaigns. The last
campaign we are running now in JEV is obvoiusly about Climate Change. Furthermore, I
have been always very internationally oriented, as I think the biggest challenges in
the world are global, such as Climate Change, and thus the approach must be global,
too. Therefore, I have been following FYEG activity for a long time and eventually
this year, after finishing in Sweden my studies in Civil Engineering, a country
where social and environmental issues are of utmost relevance, I decided to go a
step forward with a further commitment with FYEG and run for being a member in the
Executive Committee, in the position of Campaigns Coordinator. In the Climate Change
Campaign team I will be responsible for External relationships, namely the
coordination with the Executive Committee and contacts with European Green Party,
Green Group in the European Parliament and related NGOs.
Well, speak to you later! (I still have problems with my micro, talthough I hope to
fix them on time)
Paul Santman (Netherlands)
Hi there! I'm Paul, an eco-activist from cozy Nijmegen in the Netherlands. Currently I'm finishing my master's degree in Environmental and Social Management, while doing an intership at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy in Germany. Although I sometimes manage to take nighttime-photo's, do some sports and hike around a bit, my main hobby is to keep myself quite busy with environmentally related stuff. Helping out with FYEG Climate Change Campaign is therefore very enjoyable, not in the least because I can work together with other highly motivated young greens towards a green, fair and free future for all. And you're always welcome to visit me, especially if you bring some sunshine and a smile along!

Ilze Jece (Latvia)
I am long-term activist of eco and social movements, currently residing in Nepal. With active campaigning I got more acquainted while working with marketing strategies of animal rights and environmental organizations in USA. Additionally I have many years of experience as youth trainer, leading diverse workshops, trainings and other creative activities on local and international level.
I strongly believe in power of a single individual to make a difference for whichever cause of the World. I adore the movements which dare not to be hypocrite with their words and actions in front of general public. Movement against climate change should be one of those. We must face the upcoming threat and act accordingly, no matter how uncomfortable it is to change our habits.
If you want to advice us some future activities for the campaign, share your thoughts on content of materials, or just come to visit me in Nepal, please contact me at ilzejece at riseup dot net.
